Prep basketball junkies will need to find their way to either St. Clairsville, Bridgeport, Union Local or the St. C. Recreation Center Thursday.

The third annual Summer Standout Classic is a one-day event, which brings together 16 teams for a boys' basketball shootout.

The tournament, which is directed by Eric Gay, has once again drawn a stellar field of teams from the immediate area and across the Buckeye State.

The host Red Devils will play all of their games on their homecourt, but they're in a demanding pool.

They'll begin the event in the opening game, taking on Steubenville Central. St. Clairsville's other two games are against defending Division II state champion Dayton Dunbar and perennial Division I power Canton McKinley.

Both Dunbar and McKinley took part in last year's event as well.
