ARMSTRONG, Ruth M. Mitchell, 89, formerly of Warwood, died, Monday, June 18, 2012 in the Valley Haven Geriatric Center, Wellsburg, WV.
She was born September 16, 1922 in San Francisco, the daughter of the late Stanley Mitchell.
Mrs. Armstrong was a Catholic by faith.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Alvin B. Armstrong in 1983, a grandson, infant Cutright; her sons-in-law, George A. Murphy and David E. Cutright Sr; and a brother, Donald Armstrong.
Surviving are four children, Duane F. Armstrong and his wife, Paula of Warren, OH, Helen "Jan" Murphy of Elm Grove, Alvin "Joe" Armstrong Jr of Elm Grove, and Sharla Cutright of Elm Grove; six grandchildren, Mark D., Ronald L. and his wife, Dona, and Jerry E. Murphy and his wife, Wendy, David E. Cutright and his wife, Michelle, and Mary Louk and her husband, Terry; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311) with the Reverend Bryan D. Carpenter officiating. Interment in Park View Memorial Gardens, Wheeling.
