HARRIS, Allan R., 63, of Rayland, OH, died Monday, June 25, 2012 at his home.
He was born Nov. 25, 1948 in Martins Ferry, OH, a son of the late Allan N. and Mary E. (Ashworth) Harris.
He was retired from the Bailey Coal Mine of Consol Energy and a veteran of the U. S. Army, Vietnam.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Harris and a grandson, Briar Faulkner.
Surviving are his wife; Sally M. (Butler) Harris, his daughter; Becky (Shawn) Faulkner of Rayland, three sons; Allan Harris, II, John Harris, and Timothy Harris all of Rayland, two brothers; Larry (Sharon) Harris of Martins Ferry, OH and Terry R. (Maryann) Harris of Dallas Pike, WV, four sisters; Sandra L. Brown of South Carolina, Linda Bremmer of Martins Ferry, Mary G. (Dave) Hunter of Columbus, OH and Virginia (Victor) Davis of Dillonvale, OH, four grandchildren; Kristine Hashbarger, Jessi Faulkner, Emily D. Harris and Taelin Sheets.
Friends will be received Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012, at 11 am, with Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
Military honors will be held at the funeral home prior to services by the V.F.W. Belmont County Honor Guard.
