‘Fast and Furious’

Dear Editor,

"Not even the Department of Justice is above the law ... the best way to disinfect the putrid mess that is Fast and Furious is to expose it to sunlight." - New York Post, 7-11-2011.

So we have Obama, his Attorney General, Eric Holder and others in the government aligned with the "putrid mess" and a media that ignores the biggest cover-up since Watergate.

Clearly their insane policy has led to the murder of U.S. Federal Agent, Brian Terry and countless Mexican citizens.

That proof is in an e-mail boasting of gun traces held secret from Mexican authorities.

"Some of these weapons bought by these clowns in Arizona have been directly traced to murders of elected officials in Mexico by the cartels, so Katie-bar-the door when we unveil this baby."

Those are the words of Arizona U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke in an April 2010 e-mail to a colleague boasting about the propaganda value of his "operation Fast and Furious" and encouraged by Obama administration operatives.

In 2009, President Obama tapped Burke as U.S. Attorney for Arizona and under the cloud of "Fast and Furious," Burke has resigned his post ... released just days prior to Attorney General Eric Holder's, Feb. 2, appearance before the oversight committee.

Obama has tried to deflect the blame ... claiming that law-abiding American gun owners are somehow responsible for Mexico's drug wars ... isn't it about time to put the blame where it belongs?
