CORPUS CHRISTI, Tx. -- Nate Davis has the Amarillo Venom on the move.

The former Bellaire High and Ball State quarterback passed for a season-high 362 yards and five touchdowns as Amarillo rolled past homestanding Corpus Christi Monday night by a 60-40 score.

Davis completed 20 of 31 passes and was intercepted once. He had scoring passes that covered 7, 9, 30 and 30 yards. All of them went to DeVaughn Flagler, with the last two 30-yarders coming in the fourth quarter when the visitors pulled away for the win.

Amarillo, which started the season slow before Davis arrived, is now 6-4 and sits atop the Lone Star Football League standings.

The Venom, who have now won three consecutive outings, travel to Abilene Saturday.
