ZANI, Velma L., 84, of Lancaster, OH, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the Main Street Terrace Care Center Lancaster, OH.
She was born on August 13, 1927 in Adena, OH to the late John and Elizabeth (Petho) Edgehouse.
Velma was a retired laundry worker for the Martins Ferry Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Lancaster. Velma loved her family especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Velma is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws, Christina and Jim Crisman of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Marcella and Michael Zombek of Lancaster; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Hazel Zani Germany; five grandchildren and one great-grandson; sister-in- law Jen Edgehouse; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Theresa Zani, sisters, Rose Roth, Mary Martinez, Sarah Pelesky, Elizabeth McCue, brothers, Steve, John, Tony, Raymond, Gene, Joe, and Carmen Edgehouse.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 9:30 a.m.Saturday June 30, 2012 at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Lancaster. Visitation will be on Saturday from 8-9 a.m. at the Sheridan Funeral Home Lancaster, OH. Interment will be in Linwood Cemetery, Blaine, OH.
