ST. CLAIRSVILLE - The launch of a new Web site has made the county's court dockets a click away from viewing.
Clerk of Courts Cynthia McGee said the installation of the site has been a year-long process at least. It had been ongoing since she took office in March and officially activated this past Wednesday.
She noted that the site is accessible to court officials, attorneys and the public wishing to view the docket.

They may look up anything that has been filed.
The site can be found by entering belmontcountycoc.com and clicking Public Record Search.
"On that site, they'll be able to search by name, case number, or case type," said McGee, adding that the site will prove a greater convenience for staff and people searching for information. "It will cut down on our phone calls a lot. Most of our calls are for service or if a case has been filed.
"Now from the comfort of their own home they can look."
She added that the launch of the site has seen a strong response. McGee described the site as self-explanatory and user-friendly. Anyone having difficulties is welcome to call the clerk of courts office at (740) 699-2169 for assistance.
"We can walk them through it," McGee said.
She said the site uses CourtView, the system used by Jefferson, Muskingum and other counties.
"Anything since 1995 to the present moment will be there," she said, adding that within one year the clerk of courts office will be e-filing. "We are now in the 21st Century."
McGee added that an open house event is scheduled for Aug. 3, 11 a.m. to allow the public to view the department's new, expanded offices at the former law library location.
"A lot of work went into this and I still can't believe it all happened in five days," she said.
