BANAL, Zelia Ann Kasper, 65 formerly of Dillonvale and St. Clairsville, died Thursday, June 28, 2012 at her home in Las Vegas, NV.
She was born August 7, 1946 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of the late Amuel (Socky) Kasper and Elise Orsillo Kasper.
Zelia was a retired high-school teacher, college counselor, lifelong Democrat and an avid cat lover.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Floyd Orsillo.
Surviving are her husband Michael Banal of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter Melissa Banal Hoyt and husband Timothy Hoyt of Bakersfield, California; son Matthew Banal and wife Lisa Banal of Columbus; five grandchildren: Caleb, Zelia (Elise), Gavin and Grace Hoyt and Zane Banal; a brother Amuel Jan Kasper of Bloomingdale; nephew Mark Kasper of Toronto; cousin Terry Rankin of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania; lifelong friends: Carolyn Bartzel Dundr of Mt. Pleasant and Judy Dutton Adamkiewicz of Medina; dear friend Helen Minnick of Wintersville; numerous sister-and- brother-in-laws, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
