NEMEC, Katherine, E. 83, of Bellaire, OH, died Sunday, July 1, 2012 in Shadyside Care Center.
She was born June 16, 1929 in Shadyside, OH, a daughter of the late Robert and Lillie Weide Boyd.
She was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith.
Preceding her in death was her first husband, George R. Emery; a daughter, Jodee Staskey; and a brother, Kenneth Boyd.
Surviving is her husband, Joseph R. Nemec; a brother, Robert J. Boyd, of Shadyside; her children, Penny Jo (Terry) Kennedy of Franklin, TN, Jana (Don) Koonce of Ketterington, OH, and George (Lynn) Emery of Shadyside, OH; her step-children, Shirley Jo Nemec, Darla Parks, Kenny Jo Nemec and David J. Nemec; grandchildren, Susan Kennedy of Franklin, TN, Shaye (Keith) Michaelis of Powell, OH, Colby Emery and Bobby Emery both of Shadyside, OH, Seth Staskey of Bellaire, OH, and Kelsey Koonce of Ketterington, OH; two great-grandchildren, Madalyn Paige Emery and Brayden Tyler Koonce.
Family and friends will be received Monday from 3-9 p.m. at the Bauknecht- Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside, OH, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Reverend Randy Weaver officiating.
Interment follows in Powhatan Cemetery Powhatan Point Ohio.
