McINTIRE, Martha

McINTIRE, Martha Elizabeth, age 91, of Piedmont, died at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 in Hennis Care Center, Dover, Ohio.

Born August 27, 1920 in Cameron, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Robert Hutchison and Anna Elizabeth Mellott Hutchison.

She attended Grandview School and was a homemaker. She was a Senior Companion for six years in Cadiz, worked at the B&O Restaurant in Holloway, and was employed by St. Johns Villa in Carrollton for six years. Martha also loved to quilt and made quilts for many family members. She had a talent for doing anything when it came to crafts and sewing.

Martha and her husband, John Everett McIntire, owned and operated Macs Lakeland Service Station in Piedmont for many years. John died February 21, 1974.

She is survived by two sons, Clyde (Gail) McIntire of Michigan and Ralph (Darlene) McIntire of St. Clairsville; two daughters, Marianna (Robert) Stevens of Dover and Ruth (companion Robert Cooke) Ross of Alabama; a grandson, whom she raised as a son, Edward R. (Kim) McIntire of Freeport; two brothers, James Hutchison of New Matamoras and Carl Hutchison of Rittman; a sister, Marjorie Faltz of Bealsville; 46 grandchildren and great - grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, John McIntire, Jr. and Ronnie McIntire; three sisters, Esther Cecil, Mary Carpenter and an infant, Dorothy Jean; two brothers, Arthur (Sam) Hutchison and Robert Hutchison, Jr.; two grandsons, Patrick and Chase; and two granddaughters, Christy and Desiree.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 10 in Koch Funeral Home, 216 S. High Street, Freeport.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 in the funeral home with Pastor Milo Baker officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenmont Union Cemetery, Freeport.
