Entered into eternal rest on the morning of July 16, 2012, Dorothy Helen Owens of Johns Island, SC, wife of the late Lt. Col. James Calvin Owens USAF (Ret.).
Graveside services will be conducted in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements by J. Henry Sturh, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC.
Born August 23, 1925 in Fairpoint, OH, Dorothy was the daughter of Edward Klosek and Blanche Birnot Klosek. She was a home maker and of the Catholic faith.
Surviving are her two sons, James D. Owens (Charlene) of Birmingham, AL, and Lawrence D. Owens (Judy Garvin) of Johns Island, SC; a sister, Marjorie Yemich of Fairport, OH; two grandchildren, Brice Owens of Garner, NC, and Lindsay Thompson of Newnan, GA; and four great-grandchildren, Caleb Thompson, Addison Thompson, Nathan Owens, and Jackson Owens.
