BRIGGS, Wanda P., 90, of Yorkville, died Wednesday July 18, 2012, at Woodside Village Bedford, Ohio.
She was born December 17, 1921, in Strawn TX., a daughter of the late John and Mary (Kiernos) Truskowski.
She was a Methodist by faith. Her love was her family and her guitar, mandolin and piano, which she played all the time throughout her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alfred "Babe" Briggs, two sons, John and Alan Briggs, and two daughters, Marsha Hockenberry and Bertha Ann Langford, six sisters; Helen Baran, Dorothy Fabey, Stella Palcic, Lucille Twardoski, Sophy Kocurek, and Louise Briggs, a brother, John Truskowski.
Wanda is survived by three grandchildren Lori (Bryan) Payne, of Concord, Ohio, Melissa (Joshua) Shur, of North Ridge, Ohio, and Mike Hockenberry, of Parma, ten great grandchildren, and many many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to a celebration of Wanda's life on Sunday, July 22, 2012, from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home 102 Main St. Tiltonsville, where services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m., interment in Upland Cemetery Yorkville.
