CADIZ - Former Cadiz firemen Alex Foster, Tyler Yoho and Mason Sedgmer have been charged with one count of arson and one count of complicity to commit arson according to Harrison County Assistant Prosecutor Michael Washington.

THE SCORCHED remains are shown of an abandoned Cadiz motel, which caught fire July 2. Three former Cadiz volunteer firemen have been charged with arson in connection with the blaze.
The fire took place at the former Cadiz Airport Motel on U.S. 22.
Fire departments from Cadiz, Hopedale, Jewett, Scio, New Athens, Harrisville and Moorefield responded to the fire.
It was contained within a half hour but the building, long since abandoned, was a total loss.
The structure has sat unused for more than 20 years.
Cadiz Fire Chief Leonard Merryman said at the time that "It's definitely suspicious. There were no utilities hooked up.
