WRIXON, Elizabeth (Betty) Irene, 96, died July 26, 2012 at Autumn Heath Care of Adena.
She was born July 27, 1915 in Fairpoint, OH, a daughter of the late Oscar and Bertha Lee Thornton Hess.
An Alumni of St. Clairsville High School, and the Scott Business College in Wheeling, she worked at Scott-Lumber Co. Bridge port, she was a member of the Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, the Colerain Senior Citizens, and Colerain Homemakers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. Wrixon in 1976, one sister, Martha V. Seidler Horneffer, two brothers, Paul D. and Walter F. Hess.
Betty is survived by a daughter, Barbara Ahmad, a grandson, Gamal Ahmad, and a great-granddaughter, Jaila Ahmad all of Colerain.
Friends are invited to a celebration of Betty's life on Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 1-3 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside. And then on Monday from 10 a.m. till time of service at 11 a.m. at the Kirkwood Presbyterian Church 200 Bennett St. Bridgeport, with Rev David Demerist officiating, interment in Union Cemetery St. Clairsville.
