Fire damages Yorkville building

August 12, 2012
Times Leader

The Yorkville Volunteer Fire Department didn't have far to battle a blaze Saturday night, as it broke out just feet away from its fundraising street festival.

The fire started around 7:30 p.m. on Market Street.

Crews were able to get there quickly because of how close the department is to the fire. The building housed four families. It was heavily damaged in the blaze.

A cause is undetermined, and inspectors will be on the scene Monday to further investigate.
