MISKO, Emilia Thomas, 94, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Monday, August 27, 2012, at home.
She was born February 13, 1918 in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sadie George Thomas.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She worked for 20 years as a secretary for the US Army Corps. of Engineers, Pittsburgh District.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Misko, two sisters, Rosemary Chandler and Alice Holmes; two brothers, Thomas Thomas and George Thomas.
Surviving are her three children, Dr. Thomas Misko of St. Louis, Mo.; Barbara Hostage of Potomac, Md., and Diane Misko of Martins Ferry; sister, Eva Powell of Shadyside, OH; two brothers, William Thomas of Gahanna, OH and Robert THomas of Gambrills, MD
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Emilia and celebrate her life Friday, August 31, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Tiltonsville with Msgr. Gene Mullett officiating. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
Wake services will be Friday at 5:45 p.m. from the funeral home.
