SUTO, Joseph John, 85, of Sinclair Ave., Yorkville, died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.
He was born March 19, 1927 in Swissville, Ohio to the late Gabor and Elizabeth Markovich Suto.
He was a retired employee of the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, Yorkville plant; an Army veteran of WWII; Christian by faith; a lifelong member of the VFW Post 4811; and an avid Euchre player.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Simon Suto on June 8, 2011; a daughter, Leslie Marie Suto; two brothers; and one sister.
Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey (Wendy) and Robert (Deanna); a daughter, Vicki Suto; five grandchildren, Wendy (Chad), Kari, Zachary (Lindsey), Derek (Kara) and Ashley; and five great grandchildren.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Joe and celebrate his life from 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, where funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. William Webster officiating. Entombment in Park View Mausoleum, Wheeling.
Full military honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Council of VFW at 9:45 a.m. Monday morning at the funeral home.
