Prep Volleyball Roundup: Beallsville gets by Valley; SJC sweeps

Invading Beallsville scored a four-game Monday night road victory at Valley, knocking off the Lady Lumber Jills by 25-20, 25-10, 19-25, 25-16. The now 3-2 Lady Blue Devils received 13 kills and three aces from Ali Campbell. Katie Kinney netted 11 kills and four blocks. Madison Stephen charted 19 points, seven aces and four kills. Anna Jones recorded 16 assists and four aces. Laikyn Tubaugh contributed eight kills and three points.

St. John's sweeps Bellaire

St. John Central was a three-game Monday victor over cross street rival Bellaire by counts of 25-20, 25-15, 25-23.

Leading the Lady Irish were Jessica Alvey (12 kills, six points); Caitlin Sliva (11 kills, seven points); Sydney Helms (nine points, two kills); Kaydie Coppa (seven points, four kills); Kristen Russell (six points, two kills); and Lindsey Froehlich (five kills).

For Bellaire, Cari Crozier and Lindsey McMahon charted six kills apiece. Mary Garloch and Tori Duffy tallied eight points apiece. Taylar Canter delivered nine digs. Mackenzie Conroy charted 10 points, six digs and three kills. Hunter Eden contributed eight points and four kills.

Indian Creek sweeps at Buckeye

Invading Indian Creek was a three-game Monday night victor at Buckeye Local by scores of 25-18, 25-13, 25-17.

Bre Berryman and Whitney Martin slammed 14 and 11 kills, respectively for the now 5-1 Creek. Jessica Furda charted 30 assists amd 12 digs. Kiarra Kamarec contributed six kills.

Buckeye's Becca Rector registered seven kills. Kaylee DeCesare donated 11 digs. Kierstyn Czuchran slammed four kills and totaled three digs.

East Richland Christian outlasts Wheeling Central

East Richlan Christian needed five games to outlast Wheeling Central by scores of 25-23, 14-25, 19-25, 25-22, 16-14.

Stat leaders for the Lady Lions included: Hannah Surface (29 digs, 12 aces, six kills); Katie Albert (11 digs, nine kills); Brooke Hamm (21 digs, three kills): Alyssa Crowley (nine kills, nine digs); Hannah Stephens (73 sets); Susanna Yourko (31 sets).

Monroe Central upends River

Host Monroe Central was a three-game Monday victor over River's Pilots by scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-17.

The Lady Noles' Chelsie Tewanger netted 10 kills and 10 points. Chelsie Roberts charted 15 kills, 15 digs and four blocks. Melanie Stimpert totaled 18 assists. Anne LaFollette tallied five points.

Ferry records sweep at Shadyside

Martins Ferry swept past Shadyside in a Monday match by scores of 25-8, 25-5, 25-5.

Ferry's Shaina Oberdick delivered 16 points, 10 kills and eight aces. Cassie Hanson charted seven points, five aces, 10 assists and two kills.

Shaye DeLeonardis donated 12 points, nine aces, seven assists and four digs. Jesse Probst produced 10 points, six aces and five kills.
