It took hours to clear Monroe Street at the intersection of Broadway Street in Martins Ferry Tuesday after a tractor-trailer truck broke in half trying to turn onto the road. According to Martins Ferry Police, the incident occurred at 10:45 a.m. and took hours to clean up. The truck was carrying flour that was to be delivered to the Nickles Bakery. The driver, Maurice Harris, 53, of Chicago was cited for driving an unsafe vehicle, driving on the sidewalk, and use of a road not a truck route.
