FRANTZ, Philip C.

FRANTZ, Philip C., 76, died Saturday in Canton after a long illness.

Born in Bellaire, he had lived in the North Canton/ Louisville area most of his life.

He was a 1954 graduate of Bellaire High School, worked at the Hoover Company, and then retired from Hercules Engines.

Philip was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Survived by his wife, Nancy (Crooks) Frantz of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Richard Posey of Louisville; two sons, Philip James Frantz and David Michael Frantz of Canton; three grandchildren, Brenda (Mike) Pauli, Richard Posey, and Michael Doyle; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kannon; and a sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Keith Adamson of Bellaire.

Preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Gertrude Frantz.

Family and friends will meet on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton for a Mass of Christian Burial with Msgr. James Clarke as Celebrant. Private burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery in Louisville.

Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home in Canton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton.
