BORUTA, Mary Josephine, 85 of County Road 10, Adena, OH., died Thursday, October 19, 2012 in Autumn Health, Adena.
She was born December 15, 1926 in Emerson, OH, daughter of the late Theodore and Hattie Ronevich Popkie.
She was a former employee of Ohio Valley Hospital in the dietary department and clerk at Newtown Company Store for Hanva Coal Co. A member of St. Casionirs Catholic Church, Adena, Rosary Society, Pine Valley Sportsmans Club, Adena.
She enjoyed feeding the birds, watching butterflies, gardening and tending to her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Boruta on December 3, 1997; a brother, Frank Popkie.
Surviving are two sons, Charles (Kristie) Boruta, Cadiz, OH and Richard (Linda) Boruta, Geneva, OH; two daughters, Carol (William) Williamson, Wheatland, IN and Becky Steiner, Adena, OH; two sisters, Violet Feher, Dillonvale, OH and Charlotte Mistak, Adena, OH; six grandchildren, Chad and Jeremy Steiner, Charles Williamson, Michelle Turner, Richard Boruta Jr. and Nicole Boruta; four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received to pay tribute and cerlebrate her life on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Casimirs Catholic Church, with Msgr Kolesar officiating.
Burial in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleaseant Grove, OH
Wake service 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
