FIFTY YEARS ago in October 1962, Steve Solar, was stationed at Iraklion AFS, Crete, Greece during the Cuban Missile Crisis as a Morse intercept operator. He was responsible for intercepting Morse code diplomatic messages sent between Moscow and Havana, Cuba. Steve now resides in Bridgeport, Ohio. Submitted by Elaine Solar
