DeGENOVA, Malvina Damiani, 98, of Bellaire, OH, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012, in Shadyside Care Center.
Malvina was born August 14, 1914, in Dilles Bottom, OH, a daughter of the late Carmine and Pasqua Rosa Maizezza Damiani.
She was a homemaker, a member of St. John Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Catholic Women's Club, Sons of Italy 754, I.A.C. Auxiliary and the Madonna Crusaders Auxiliary all of Bellaire.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her husband, Joseph DeGenova; her stepmother, Matilda Gaudieri Damiani; a son, Raymond DeGenova; two brothers, Louis Damiani and Primo Damiani; three sisters, Julia Polivka, Amelia Rossi, and P. Rose Kovalo.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. Henry (Rosalie) DeGenova of Bonita Springs, FL. and Joseph (Mary) DeGenova of Bellaire, OH; a daughter-in-law, Jeanne DeGenova of Shadyside, OH; two sisters, Clementine Postage of Pickerington, OH and Mary Louise Tschappat of Clarington, OH; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Sunday from noon-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441 37th Street Bellaire, OH.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John Catholic Church, Bellaire, OH. with Fr. Daniel Heusel as Celebrant.
Entombment follows in the Guardian Angel Mausoleum of Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, OH.
Vigil service 7:45 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
