November 6, 2012
Times Leader

LAST DAY of operation of streetcars through Bridgeport occurred Saturday, Feb. 28, 1948 and this photo was taken that day at 5:20 p.m., as Car No. 66 (Route 75) was crossing the old Bridgeport Bridge. Operated by the Cooperative Transit Co., the streetcar was headed west across the bridge. It had to stop at the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad crossing at the west end of the bridge before entering Bridge Street in Bridgeport. Photo Courtesy/Helen Nevada Young
