VADASZ, Mary, 89, of Yorkville, OH, died, Thursday, November 1, 2012, at East Ohio Regional Hospital, in Martins Ferry, OH.

Mary was born on July 30, 1923, in Glouster, OH, to the late John and Elizabeth (Slonager) Sakey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Vadasz; a brother John Sakey Jr; two sisters, Elizabeth (Steve) Kovach and Margaret (Pete) Kandrach and a special nephew, Pete Kandrach.

Mary was a member of St. Lucys Catholic Church in Yorkville, OH.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann (Bill) Haggerty, of Rayland; a granddaughter, Dina Rae Ryan) Gray; a great-grand son, Ethan; a great- granddaughter, Elizabeth; several nieces; nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Mary and celebrate her life on Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11a.m. from St Lucys Catholic Church, Yorkville, OH, with Monsignor George Coyne officiating.

Burial will follow at Upland Cemetery.
