WJU’s Jones earns All-America status

JOPLIN, Mo.--Six months after earning All-American accolades in track and field, WJU senior Stewart Jones achieved another career milestone. He earned a second-career All-American honor, this time, as a cross country athlete. Jones competed in the 2012 NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships which was hosted by Missouri Southern State University on Saturday afternoon. The Weirton, W.Va. native crossed the finish line at 30:19, which stands as the fastest 10k time in Wheeling Jesuit's cross country history. Jones earned 35th place overall and most importantly, All-American status.
