YAKUBOWSKI, Custer Jr. (often called Cutty or Sonny), 76, of Hopedale, died Friday, November 30, 2012 at Lifeline Hospital, Wintersville.
He was born April 19, 1936 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Custer and Charlotte Kendziorski Yakubowski, Sr.
Cutty was a retired heavy equipment operator at Consolidation Coal Co. for 42 years and a German Twp. Trustee for nearly 30 years. He was an avid bee keeper and enjoyed hunting. He was a very outgoing friend to many and enjoyed visiting and sharing stories. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hopedale.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Gerald Yakubowski.
Surviving are five daughters, Christina (Doug) Reese, Scio, Debra Yakubowski and Jacqueline Yakubowski, both of Columbus, Lisa (Brad) Hunsucker of Boca Raton, FL, and Leslie Yakubowski of Canton; five grandchildren, Scott, Heidi, Elysia, Garrett (and Patty) and Emily; five great grandchildren, Kalvin, Julian, Raina, Charlotte and Noah; two brothers, Adam (Sharon) Yakubowski of Mason, OH and Larry Yakubowski of Phoenix, AZ; several nieces and nephews and his faithful dog, B.J.
Friends may call Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz., where services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m.
Burial will follow at the Germano Cemetery.
