Pellet gun causes panic

HANNIBAL - River High School student Devon Ice, 18, was arrested by Monroe County Sheriff's deputies after bring a pellet gun onto the schools grounds.

Ice was placed in the Monroe County Jail after his arrest. He will appear this morning on a misdemeanor charge of inducing panic.

Principal Eddie Trifonoff was tipped off that Ice had a gun on him. Following proper protocol, he alerted the sheriff's office. Upon the sheriff's arrival, was it revealed that the gun was in fact a pellet gun, which the sheriff's office seized.

The school was on a one-hour lock down.
