CODY SCHAU, Martins Ferry - This senior standout poured in 31 points in the Purple Riders' season-opening victory against Edison last week.
RASHAEN MITCHELL, Harrison Central - This Huskies' senior standout averaged almost 18 points a game in a pair of victories.
AUSTIN DORRIS, Shadyside - Sophomore pivot had a strong start to the season, averaging 24 points a game in a 1-1 week for the Tigers. In the win against Bridgeport, he scored 32 points.
CAMERON JORRIS, Monroe Central - Seminole standout scored 17 points to help lead Monroe past River last Friday.
KOREY LAFFERRE, Monroe Central - Seminole senior scored 15 points and had six rebounds in the Monroe Central victory against River.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
KRISTEN RUSSELL, St. John Central -Scored 48 points as the Lady Irish won two of three starts last week.
MARISSA ROSE, St. John Central - Frosh point guard netted 36 points as Lady Irish improved to 4-2.
SWIMMING
MICHAEL EATON, St. Clairsville - This junior won two individual meet titles at the Dover Invitational last weekend. He claimed the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke in meet-record times.
