Harrison Central trounces Weir

The homestanding Huskies made quick work of Weir High Friday night inside the John Stephenson Center en route to a 73-41 triumph.

The Huskies led 15-6 after one and upped the margin to 38-16 at the intermission. They continued to pour it on to the undermanned Red Riders, outscoring them 35-25 in the second half.

Harrison Central had 11 players reach the scoring column. Senior ace Fletcher Watt led the way with 14 points. Corey Yoho was second with eight points and frosh Kalub Mitchell had seven.

Senior post Nick Pelegreen scored only six points, but he did grab a team-high eight rebounds. Dalton Rutter had six points and passed out four assists, which was a team high.

The Huskies are now 5-1 on the season and are off until next Friday when they host Shadyside.

Harrison Central was a 51-30 victor in the reserve game. David Miser scored 17 points to lead the way.
