SELF-HELP service stations and unleaded gasoline were unknown in the 1930s to these young men at a Sohio station, operated by Raymond H. Wilson and Ernie Hill, at the intersection of Ohio 7 and Belmont 4 in the present Floral Valley area of Martins Ferry. This photo was taken in 1935 or 1936 with Wilson at the left pump.
