SAMUEL, Grace, 80, of Barnesville, OH, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Emerald Point Nursing and Rehab.

She was born January 19, 1932 in Wanlesswadi Maharashtra, India, daughter of the late Aaron Theodore Samuel and Rachel Manickan Samuel.

Before coming to the United States in 1963, Grace was a professor at Lady Doak College, India from 1962 to 1963. From 1963 until 1966, she earned her PhD from Einstein and her Masters in education at Temple University in Pennsylvania. She then returned to India, where she was principal of Bishop Cottons Girls' High School in Bangalore, India. Grace returned to the United States where she taught medical students at Chaney State University from 1966 to 1972 until she retired.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Aaron Paul Samuel; and sisters, Mary Florence Jesudasen and Esther Sarojini Samuel.

Grace is survived by her sister, Mercy K. Samuel of St. Clairsville, OH; brothers, Dr. Aaron Devadass Samuel of Cleveland, Tennessee and Dr. Aaron James Samuel of Barnesville, Ohio; and numerous, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends may visit, Friday 6-8 p.m. and Saturday noon until the time of service at 2 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, OH. Pastor Richard Cox will be officiating.

Interment will follow at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, OH.
