OTTO, Harry W., 88 of Dilles Bottom, OH, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Barnesville Health Care Center.
He was born March 6, 1924, in Dilles Bottom, a son of the late Harry Stoffer Otto and Josephine P. Kovar Otto.
Harry was a retired mechanic for North American Coal Company's Powhatan 3 mine; a U.S. Army veteran of WWII; and member of Shadyside American Legion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Vaughn Graham Otto; brothers, Robert, Richard, and William Otto.
Surviving are three sons, Lonnie W. Otto of Barnesville, Roger L. Otto of Bridgeport, and Gregory E. Otto of Jacobsburg; two daughters, Andrea M. Fleming of Deltona, FL., and Sherrie L. Harmon of Orlando, FL.; brothers, Ben of Jacobsburg, and Paul of Cambridge; a sister, Joann Heatherington of Martins Ferry; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday with Pastor Jack Palmer officiating.
Burial follows in Powhatan Cemetery.
Full military honors will be provided by the Belmont County Council of American Legions on Saturday at 10:45 a.m. in the funeral home.
