The daffodil is the first flower of spring and because of the American Cancer Society, it has been a symbol of hope for cancer patients for the past 40 years through its Daffodil Days program. Volunteer coordinators take requests for daffodils in January, February and early March. This year, the daffodils arrive and will be delivered March 18-24. Daffodils are $10, potted daffodils are $12, and a vase and a bunch is $15. For $25, a customer can order a "bear and a bunch," a 10 inch Boyds bear, "Ray O. Hope," along with a bunch of daffodils. Shown are bears offered during previous Daffodil Days campaigns. If you would like to be a coordinator and take orders at your company, school or business, contact Chelsea Edwards at 888-227-6446 ext. 3206 or email@example.com. Orders are due by Feb. 20.
