I have just attended another meeting of the Rayland Village Council and I must say I was (again) disappointed, but certainly not surprised, by the child-like unprofessional attitude of the mayor, village administrator and other council members.
The whispering and giggling amongst the mayor, administrator, and the administrator's wife, prior to the call to order was reminiscent of sixth grade. The snide, unnecessary remarks made by the mayor and the administrator that were aimed at an un-welcome taxpayer attending the meeting were out of line and pertained in no way to village business.
Throughout the entire meeting I felt a strong sense of us (council) versus them (residents of Rayland). I don't understand the perceived "air of superiority", but I will certainly remember it when voting.
