WHEELING - Elmhurst, The House of Friendship senior residence in Wheeling, will host a free continuing education seminar for social workers on Friday, March 7 from 3-5 p.m.
Kathy Shelek-Furbee, Bethany College program director and chair of the department of social work, will present a program on the topic, "Older Adults Getting High?."
The event will provide one and one-half hours of professional CEUs.
"This is the second in a series of programs we will host at Elmhurst for social workers and others in the healthcare field throughout the year on a variety of topics related to seniors," notes Jamie Crow, Elmhurst executive director, who added, "We also are pleased to announce that we are partnering with Kepner Funeral Homes in Wheeling which is underwriting the cost of this program as part of its Community Outreach Initiative."
