TURNER, Victor Junior, 83, of Barnesville, died Saturday, February 23, 2013, in Newark, OH, at the home of his daughter, Sharon Mirra, with whom he had been staying due to health.
He was born December 28, 1929, in Bethesda, OH, son of the late Victor C. and Vernena Mae (Jones) Turner.
Retiring in l992, Junior worked the majority of his life at the Barnesville Auto Supply in the machine shop, later becoming the store manager. He owned and operated Home Pizza from 1970 until selling the business in 1994. He was a Methodist by faith, a member of the Barnesvlle Volunteer Fire Department for many years and enjoyed riding his motorcycles until giving it up at the age of 80.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vernina Kay Turner Keyser Braniger; a great-grandson, Jacob Gregory Miller; a brother, Everett Turner; and a sister, Louise Kildow.
Surviving are his son, Alan (Robyn) Turner; four daughters: Linda (Gid) Edwards, Sharon (Travis) Mirra, Vicki (Mark) Allen and Karen (Bob) Wallace; a sister, Helen Boyd; seven grandchildren: Angela Bennett (Greg) Miller, Greg (Heather) McCarthy, Chad (Kelly) Turner, Jason Eddy, Shawn Eddy, Ryan Keyser and Rachel Keyser; eight great-grandchildren: Joseph and Jennifer Miller, Dalton Turner, Alyssa and Luke Eddy and Grant, Evan and Blake McCarthy; 13 stepgrandchildren and 20 stepgreat-grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by David and Debbie Bohandy, Diane James and their children and by his pet companion for the past several years, Teter.
Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Campbell-Plumly- Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville, OH, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Rodney West officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
