FRANKOVICH, Marianne "Tomi," 72, of Shadyside, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born October 15, 1940, in Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of the late James Benjamin and Julia Baranich Jurichny.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was an infant daughter, Susan.
She graduated from Belmont Technical Institute in 1977 with an LPN education. She worked as a laser technician for OLT, aiding laser operations around the tri-state area.
Tomi is survived by her husband of 55 years, George Frankovich; a son, George Patrick Frankovich and his financee, Debbie Holmes of Shadyside, Ohio; and a daughter, Jamie Roberts and her husband, David of Wheeling, WV, three grandchildren: Molly Beth Roberts, George Michael Frankovich and Stephen Patrick Frankovich, all of Shadyside, Ohio.
Tomi was a true adventurer, camping all over the country. She saw 49 states including Alaska three times. She was also very creative and was known for her and her husband's craft business, Sunshine and Shadows, selling their crafts at the Ohio Valley Mall for many Christmas seasons. She was a wonderful cook and didn't feel that she was being a good hostess unless she was feeding you. She and her many talents will be sorely missed.
