THOMPSON, Leona L. (Kemp), 90, of Barnesville, died Monday, February 25, 2013, at the Barnesville Health Care Center.
She was born in Belmont, Ohio on December 11, 1922, to the late Dennis and Laura (Benson) Kemp.
Leona was a member of the Assumption Church and the Catholic Women's Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cloyd Thompson; daughter, Linda Sexton; son, Bruce Edward Anderson; brother, Lester Kemp; and two sisters: Mildred Anderson and Wilma Anderson.
She is survived by three daughters: Judy (Gary) Lucas of Barnesville, Donna (John) Duch of Barnesville and Mary (Allen) Withrow of Bethesda; son, Mike (Melinda) Anderson of Barnesville; three brothers: Dallas Kemp of Belmont, Chester (Irma) Kemp of Belmont and David Kemp of Belmont; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grand children; five great-great-grand children; and loving companion for many years, Andy Messenger.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 28, 2013, from 3-8 p.m. at Campbell- Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Assumption Church with Msgr. Mark Froehlich officiating. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
