TWO MEN were arrested Saturday by Bridgeport Police and were booked into the Belmont County Jail on numerous felony charges including two counts of aggravated burglary and felonious assault.
Brian L. Williamson, 29, of 311 Kennon St., Bridgeport, and Richard D. West, 36, of 67927 Kennedy Ave., Bridgeport, are being held under $57,000 bond each.
They were also booked on charges of persistent disorderly conduct, obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
Williamson was also booked on a failure to appear charge. Bond on that charge was set at $296.
Also taken into custody was Michelle M. Brown 25, of 311 Kennon St., Bridgeport. She was booked on misdemeanor charges of conspiracy, obstructing official business, and persistent disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $2,000.
According to information from Bridgeport Police, an officer was dispatched to an address on Mann Sreet on March 9 for a burglary in progress. The victim stated that two male subjects kicked in the back door and came after him. They brandished handguns and threatened to kill hm. The also beat the man with their handguns and fists. They left the residence with the owner's jewelry, cash and some marijuana that was at the residence.
Officers from Bridgeport, Martins Ferry, Bellaire and the Belmont County Sheriff's Office all responded but were unable to locate either of the subjects.
On March 10, at 11 a.m. an officer was dispatched back to the address on Mann Street due to the two male subjects and a female that kicked in the back door. As the three entered the backdoor, the home owner exited the front door and contacted Belmont 911. Officers from Bridgeport, Martins Ferry and Bellaire responded and the three subjects were taken into custody.
