Pleas entered in Belmont court

ST. CLAIRSVILLE Arraignments were held Thursday morning at Belmont County Common Pleas Court. Judge Jennifer L. Sargus presided.

Jesse Garon Robson, 22, 632 Columbus Ave., Martins Ferry, pleaded not guilty to one count of rape, a felony of the first degree, dated as Dec. 26, 2012. Pre-trial was set for April 1, with plea agreement, April 15, and trial April 30. At the request of defense, his bond of $1 million was lowered to $200,000. Prosecutor Chris Berhalter said that the rape of a child is a serious accusation, and the high bond reflects this charge.

Christopher David Harding, 43, incarcerated, pleaded not guilty to one count of importuning and one count of attempted gross sexual imposition, felonies of the fifth degree, dated as Dec. 1, 2012. The status conference was set for March 29, with plea agreement, April 26, and trial April 30. Bond of $5,000 was continued.

Gregory Barnes, 30, formerly of Flushing, now homeless, pleaded not guilty to one count of domestic violence, a felony of the third degree, dated as Jan. 4. Status conference was set for March 15, with plea agreement, March 29, and trial April 2. A bond of $10,000 was continued.

He also pleaded not guilty to receiving stolen property, a felony of the fourth degree, dated as Jan. 2. Pre-trial was set for April 15, with plea agreement, April 29, and trial May 16.

Barnes entered an additional not guilty plea to two counts breaking and entering, felonies of the fifth degree, dated as Dec. 1, 2012. Pre-trial was set for March 18, with plea agreement, April 1, and trial April 2.

Jason Timothy Henry, 36, 55417 Maple Heights, Bridgeport, pleaded not guilty to possession of drugs with a forfeiture specification, a felony of the second degree, dated as Dec. 16, 2012. Status conference was set for March 29, with plea agreement, April 26, and trial May 2. His recognizance bond was continued.

Lucas Taylor Kinkade, 19, incarcerated, pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated burglary, a felony of the first degree, and one count of safecracking, a felony of the fourth degree, both dated as Dec. 25, 2012. Status conference was set for March 29, with plea agreement, April 12, and trial April 23. Bond of $30,000 was continued.

His co-defendant, Scott Emerson Folden, 39, 49264 OR&W Station Road, Jacobsburg, pleaded not guilty to identical charges. His pre-trial was set for April 1, with plea agreement, April 15, and trial April 16. Bond of $30,000 was continued.

Scott Michael Strauss, 47, 1114 North 9th St., Martins Ferry, pleaded not guilty to two counts of trafficking in drugs with forfeiture specifications, felonies of the fifth degree, dated as Nov. 19, 2012. Pre-trial was set for April 15, with plea agreement, June 10, and trial June 27. Bond of $22,735 was continued.
