The Second Amendment has always been about preventing the power of government from invading the lives of citizens.
New York City, Mayor Michael Bloomberg's "in your face" campaign regarding gun rights - is about placing the power of government in direct opposition to the NRA and the constitution.
Oh, sure, Mr. Bloomberg and his anti-gun counterparts will continue to wag their gun control finger to "diffuse the clout" of the NRA - but the fact is, if it were not for the "clout" of the NRA - the Second Amendment would drown in a sea of gun ban laws.
For instance, on Jan. 3, more gun control bills were introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives than on any other day in American history.
For crying out loud, California Senator, Dianne Feinstein, who once had a license to carry semi-automatic firearms - has introduced a bill that would outlaw tens of millions of lawfully-owned guns.
Notice this diversity. Most recently, Ten-Point announced its decision to buy lifetime NRA memberships for all its employees who wanted them. - this from a crossbow company, mind you.
Benjamin Franklin said it best: "We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately."
I'm not ready for that noose just yet, but ladies and gentlemen ... your Second Amendment rights are hanging by a thread.
