WELLSBURG -Martins Ferry completed a 6-1 week with a doubleheader sweep here Saturday afternoon of homestanding Brooke by scores of 10-4 and 3-2.
The Purple Riders (9-3) won the first game behind 2-RBI performances by Addie Suriano, Tyrah King, Brooklyn Monroe and Kady Webb. Suriano and Monroe each singled twice, while King doubled and Webb singled.
Winning pitcher Shaye DeLeonardis struck out two and didn't walk a batter. She also cracked three singles.
In the nightcap, Martins Ferry pushed a run across the plate in the fifth inning for the win.
King singled and had two runs batted in, while Webb added an RBI and Suriano singled twice.
Martins Ferry visits Steubenville Monday.
Barnesville 14, Linsly 4
Barnesville 10, Linsly 2
AT MEMORIAL PARK, Barnesville swept a doubleheader from Linsly to improve to 7-5 on the season.
The Lady Shamrocks posted a 14-4 victory in six innings in the opening game and then prevailed 10-2 in the second contest.
In the opener, Paige Gibbons came up big for the Lady Shamrocks. She had eight strikeouts in a complete-game victory in the circle. She also had two doubles, a triple and three RBI.
Lane Hanlon drove in four runs with a triple and a double. Hunter Weiss had a triple and a double.
In the second game, Sydney Ralston worked in the circle and posted five strikeouts and just one walk.
Gibbons again provided the big bat with two doubles, a single and a RBI. Becky Burkhart had a single, home run and three RBI. Weiss had a triple and three RBI.
Linsly was led by Morgan Brunner, who had two triples.

AT ST. JOE, the Bellaire Lady Big Reds recorded victories 13 and 14 as they swept a pair from the invading Golden Bears Saturday afternoon.
In the opener, the Lady Reds posted a 9-3 victory and then blanked the Lady Golden Bears, 3-0, in the nightcap.
Megan Ging was once again sharp in the circle. She pitched complete games in both outings. In the first game, she fanned nine and walked two. She then struck out five and walked two in the second game.
Offensively, the Lady Reds received big production from Ging, who had a single, home run and four RBI.
She drove in a run with a base hit in the second game, too.
Sophomore catcher Dallas Messenger continued to swing a hot bat. She had five more hits and a RBI.
Mary Garloch came up big for Bellaire with three singles, a double and three RBI in the twinbill. Mackenzie Conroy had a home run. Daphne Clark had a double and Megan Maffe donated two singles.
Bellaire will host St. Clairsville on Monday.

AT PADEN CITY, the invading Lady Bulldogs improved their record to 8-4 with a doubleheader sweep of the Wildcats.
Bridgeport prevailed by 11-2 and 7-4 scores.
Senior Ashley Hadzima earned the victory in the circle during both games. She fanned eight in the opener and five more in the second. She helped her own cause with a triple and two RBI.
Emily Nowakowski had three singles and three RBI. Dustyne Cargnell had three singles and Bri Cross had two base hits.
In the second game, Julie Nowakowski had two singles and a RBI, while Peyton Stewart had a two-run single.

AT BYESVILLE, the Panthers (6-5) inched above the .500 mark with their twinbill sweep of the host Colts (3-9).
Kierstyn Czuchran slugged a home run and single that produced five runs in the Game One shootout, while Taryn Tonkovich slapped a trio of one-base raps and a double to account for another tally. She also scored four times.
Aliyah Marelli added three base knocks and a two-bagger while crossing the plate thrice.
Karlee Leonard drove in three runs with a single and double. Rachel Zeroski had three singled and an RBI, while Lauren Swiger singled twice and knocked in a run.
The Colts received two home runs and a single from Abby Tatgenhorst. She drove in eight runs. Jenna Gress had five singles.
In the second game, Tonkovich singled twice and doubled.
Leonard singled and doubled to drive in a run. Czuchran, Swiger and Morgan Staten all drilled solo home runs.
Zeroski had a 2-run single and Marelli a double.
Sandra Gardner picked up the win inside the circle with relief help from Ashley Trouten, who got the win in relief in the opener.

AT MORRISTOWN, the Jets (8-8) salvaged a split with the visiting Zeps (5-6) on Jets Field.
In the opener, Union Local was held to five hits by Jenna Cowgill, who also struck out four.
Brittany Stack doubled and scored a run for the Red-and-White.
In the second game, Olivia Minamyer tossed a 3-hitter with six strikeouts. She also singled twice and tripled.
Ali Delaney added a three-bagger.

AT BEAVERTON, the host Cougars scored single runs in the first through fifth innings, and added the game-winner in the ninth.
Maddie Stephen clubbed two singles and a solo homer for the Blue Devils (3-9).
Kammie Daugherty doubled in two runs.
