ST. CLAIRSIVLLE - Harmony House, Children's Advocacy Center, has recently formed a Belmont County auxiliary group to assist in fundraising and community awareness activities for its Belmont County center located in St. Clairsville.

Harmony House has been in existence as a Children's Advocacy Center located in Wheeling, WV for ten years serving Ohio and Marshall Counties. Almost two years ago, Harmony House created a Belmont County facility to specifically assist Belmont County children and their families dealing with allegations of abuse. Both centers also provide services to adults with developmental disabilities who are dealing with allegations of abuse.

Harmony House provides the following services: forensic interviews and extended forensic interviews; therapeutic interventions including counseling, crisis intervention, referrals, and supportive counseling services; medical coordination and referrals for acute and non-acute assessments; case reviews using a multi-disciplinary team approach; case tracking; case management; information and referrals; and community education and awareness . All services provided by Harmony House are provided at no charge to the children and families served. Harmony House seeks funding through grants, foundations, trusts, donations, and special events.
