The annual Team Stableford event was held last weekend. The team of Larry Landtiser, Bryan Woodford, Chuck Poindexter and Rob Anderson prevailed with a score of +11. That team also won the prize for best front nine score at +9. The foursome of Clay Wood, Jack Carpenter, Ernie Wilson and Jeff Thrash finished -1 to finish second overall. That unit also tied with the team of Gary Young, Marc Kajfez, Alex Marshall and John Timko with the best back nine score of +6.
Dick Kelly aced the 89-yard fifth hole with a 9-iron last Thursday at Crispin. The shot was witnessed by Phil Bentz and Ed Wasemann.
WHEELING PARK GOLF RESULTS
Jim Ennis and Bob Green won the medal division of the Undo's event as part of the Wheeling Park Golf Club. The duo shot a 31. Orie Robinson and David Coram finished with a 31.
Art Lightner and Gary Mercer finished third with 33, while Ed Toepfer and Bruce Grover fired a round of 35.
The Kupfer Brothers Logging event was held on April 21. Kyle Wensel prevailed over Art Lightner in a tie-breaker after both checked in with rounds of 68 in the medal division.
Roger Kupfer posted a 69 to finish third. David Coram (73) and Gary Mercer (74) rounded out the top five.
In the handicap division, Shawn Schwertfeger posted a round of 67 to prevail in a tie-breaker against Justin Domyan. Paul Alig was third with a 68.
The Marshall, Wetzel, Tyler AFL, CIO golf scramble is slated for Saturday at 9 am. at Horsebend Golf Course in Armstrong Mills. The cost is $50 per person or$200per team. The event is open to the public. There will be beverages and snacks at the turn, a steak dinner from Undo's afterwards at the course.Those attending should bring their own place settings. The Bellaire Sons of Italy is hosting its 14th annual golf scramble to benefit Alzheimers & Cooley's Anemia Charities on Monday, June 10. The event will be held at the Crispin Golf Course at Oglebay Park with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The entry fee is $200 for a four-man team. Cost includes golf, cart, refreshments on the course and dinner at the Haller Shelter following the round. The top three teams will receive prize money.

The ninth annual Flushing Masonic Lodge Scholarship Scramble will be held on May 18 at Cadiz Country Club at 12:30 p.m.. The entry fee is $240 a team that covers golf, cart, prizes, lunch at the turn, beverages and a steak dinner following the round. Bridgeport Boys Basketball will be holding a golf scramble on Saturday, May 25th at Paradise Hills, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The cost of the scramble is $150 per team ($50 per person which includes money for skins). Three man teams will be utilized for the scramble. There will be 50/50 raffle, skins game, closet to the pin, and longest drive. Cash prize will be paid out to the top two teams.
