MAYNARD - Former Shadyside High School standout Logan Hudson fired a 1-hitter Sunday as Maynard rolled past the visiting Wheeling Yankees, 10-2, in Steele and Cook Ohio Valley Baseball League action at Firemen's Field.
Hudson, who recently completed his sophomore season at Wheeling Jesuit University, struck out seven and walked four in a complete-game effort.
The lone hit allowed by Hudson was a sixth-inning single by Kyler Fitzpatrick. The two runs were unearned.

At Lafferty, the Dodgers return to the OVBL was an auspicious one as the Cardinals scored five times in the fourth inning and never looked back at the Community Park diamond.
