Harrison grand jury returns indictments

CADIZ - The Harrison County Grand Jury returned several indictments as a result of its session Friday.

Matthew W. Harris, 20, and Cassie Jo Lacross, 21, of 209 Water St., were charged with corrupting another with drugs, a felony of the fourth degree.

Kevin E. Mallernee, 25, 40300 Cadiz Dennison Road, Cadiz, was charged with possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree.

Kenneth Ray Muze, 21, 201 Burton Drive, Cadiz, was charged with harassment with bodily substance for allegedly spitting on two police officers.

Erik J. Novak, 46, 49040 Georgetown Adena Road, Cadiz, was charged with two counts assault of a peace officer, a felony of the fifth degree.

Gary Bagwell, 54, 4319 West US Highway 60, Grayson, Ky., was charged with improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a felony of the fourth degree.

Two secret indictments were also issued.

One secret indictment alleges rape, a felony of the first degree, gross sexual imposition, a felony of the fourth degree, and two counts sexual battery, a felony of the third degree.

A second secret indictment alleges two counts of rape, a felony of the first degree, both with the specification that the victim is younger than 10, and two counts gross sexual imposition, a felony of the third degree.
