Sentences issued in Belmont court

ST. CLAIRSVILLE - Sentences were handed down and pleas heard during Tuesday's session of Belmont County Common Pleas Court.

Judge Jennifer L. Sargus presided.

Shawn Jamison Bowling, 33, 99 Bath Ave., Owingsville, Ky., was sentenced to 90 days in jail for failure to register, a felony of the fourth degree occurring Oct. 25, 2012. He will continue to register in Kentucky.

Pete Michael Harlan, 21, incarcerated, admitted to a violation of his probation and was given a sanction of 90 days with credit for time served. He was originally convicted of burglary, a felony of the second degree occurring June 29, 2011.

Robert Lloyd Hupp Sr., 46, 116 North Fifth St., Martins Ferry, was given a sentence of 60 days for a count of abduction, a felony of the third degree occurring June 29, 2011. Charges stem from an altercation with his daughter-in-law that ended with Hupp taking his grand-daughter despite the objections of the mother.

Pamela Louise Moore, 44, 63475 Main St., Glencoe, pleaded guilty to one count safecracking and three counts receiving stolen property, felonies of the fourth degree occurring Feb. 28, 2012. Sentence was set for June 24. She faces a maximum of six years. The state is not opposed to community controls and counseling.

William McKinney, 48, 72595 Flushing Holloway Road, pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon while under disability, a felony of the third degree occurring May 29, 2011. Sentence was set for June 24. He will remain on recognizance until then.
