Harrison Central baseball advances

The Harrison Central Huskies moved within one win of the Division II state tournament Thursday afternoon with a 3-0 victory against Warren Local at Gant Stadium in Zanesville.

Senior pitcher Rashaen Mitchell was strong on the mound again. He threw a one hitter, struck out 10 and walked four. He also had three hits, drove in and scored a run at the plate. Sophomore Austin Kowalski drove in the game's first run.

The Huskies return to Zanesville on Friday to face the winner of West Holmes and Waverly. The regional final will begin at 5 pm. See full coverage in Friday and Saturday's Times Leader.
