COOK, Ruth Ann, of Cadiz, Ohio, lost her battle with cancer and went to be with our Lord on Sunday, June 9, 2013.
She was born July 11, 1942, the daughter of Dorothy Neal McCue Stromski and George McCue.
For many years Ruth was employed by the Montgomery Ward's store in St. Clairsville, the Dollar Store in Cadiz, and lastly by the Farm Fresh in Cadiz.
Ruth was preceded in death by both of her parents, her step-father, Louis Stromski, Sr., a sister, Georgia (Gogi) Jean McCue Binns, and a grandson, Rennie C. Bradley, Jr.
Surviving are many who loved her, including a brother, Louis Stromski, Jr., her sons, Lowell Robert Bradley, Jr. (Kim), Rennie C. Bradley (Susan), George R. Bradley (Mary), and a daughter, Ruth Louise Bradley McGilton. Surviving grandchildren are Tyler Moon, Ashley Bradley, Misty Bradley, David Bradley and numerous step- grandchildren. Surviving are great- grandchildren, Madison, Everett, and Ashdon, nieces, Suzie Hopkins Utter (Kenny), Donna Hopkins, Carolyn Hopkins Copus, Marilyn Hopkins, and nephew, Joseph Hopkins, and great-nieces, Dora Jean Hopkins, Maggie and Susan Copus.
Ruth also leaves behind her beloved pets, Sammi, Patches, and Phillip.
Because of her love of animals, donations can be made in Ruth's memory to the Harrison County Animal Shelter or any Humane Society or animal shelter of choice.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Ruth and to celebrate her life on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena, where services will be held at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Byron McElroy officiating.
Private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
